"The people most affected by a system are the best equipped to change it — if we create the conditions for them to lead."
The Voices Behind Changes (TVBC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering communities to lead their own transformation. We center lived experience through storytelling, participatory research, and advocacy, bridging the gap between people and the institutions built to serve them.

Founded and led by Salimatou Diallo, TVBC works across health, education, social services, and civic engagement in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and beyond.
Three ways we create
real, measurable change
Here is what TVBC actually delivers: concrete outcomes you can see, measure, and report to funders.
01
Identify Blind Spots
We conduct participatory research to find out exactly why your services are not reaching the people who need them most, surfacing the barriers that surveys and dashboards miss entirely.

Community Voices Insight Report with 3 to 5 specific findings
02
Bridge the Gap
We provide a structured framework for organizations to integrate lived expertise into their decision-making, moving from token consultation to genuine co-design and power-sharing.

Lived Experience Advisory framework and trained cohort
03
Scale Impact
We help you communicate your community's success to funders and stakeholders through professional storytelling, transforming raw experience into compelling narratives that open doors.

Narrative assets: reports, op-eds, and advocacy content
01
Storytelling Circles
Participants share their experiences navigating real systems. We surface the story behind the data: what worked, what failed, what was entirely missing.
02
Participatory Research
Participants become co-analysts. Together, we identify 3 to 5 systemic patterns and map the gaps between services delivered and what communities actually need.
03
Co-Design and Action
We translate findings into 2 to 3 specific, implementable recommendations. Participants present their own findings at a public showcase event.
